Part-time
4:30 –11 pm, Thursdays

Job Title: Residential Evening Coach (REC)
Reports to: Residential Program Director
Position: Part-time; 4:30 –11 pm, Thursdays

Overview of what I do:

Hope Ranch for Women is a long-term, restorative care program for adult survivors of sexual exploitation and trafficking. The Residential Evening Coach’s general role is to supervise up to six residents living on the property, work as a team to maintain the schedule, participate as needed in meal preparation, and provide transportation to and from appointments and activities. The REC also offers emotional and spiritual support to the residents. The REC models and actively coaches residents on what it means to follow Christ daily in all eight dimensions of life.

The “big” things I’m working on all the time:

  • Manage the evening schedule, including meals, chores, and evening groups
    • Assist in teaching life skills (cooking, cleaning, social interactions, etc.)
    • Distribute medications and record accordingly
    • Supervise and transport residents to appointments, outings, etc. as needed
    • Complete daily logs, communicate relevant information to the next shift, and report any issues to the residential director or case manager as needed.
  • Lead residents in a positive and supportive manner to adhere to the house guidelines and expectations
    • Respond to resident’s needs and requests
    • Assist in healthy conflict resolution between residents
  • Embrace and live out the core values of our belief system at the highest level while mentoring in the home
    • Support and encourage residents’ spiritual growth through prayer and discipleship
    • Demonstrate a strong, biblical example of a woman to the residents in the house

Requirements for this position:

  • Agreement with and living out our statement of faith.
  • Driver’s license and reliable transportation to get to and from work.
  • Must pass a state-wide criminal background check.
  • Maintain confidentiality and other responsibilities listed in governmental laws and regulations and HR4W policies and procedures.
  • Present a professional presence and maturity to effectively interact with team members and other HR4W partners.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Experience working in organizations serving at-risk populations is a plus.

Team members I oversee:

  • Residents

This kind of person is successful at Hope Ranch:

  • A “passionate for Jesus” leader.
We’re looking for people who are committed to following Jesus, growing in the freedom He provides, and living out the eight dimensions of life we teach.
  • A person whose heart aches for the exploited and abused.
We’re looking for people who truly see this as a ministry, not a place to “just get a paycheck.”
  • A humble, “willing to learn” person.
We’re looking for people who believe we are all “in process” and who are always seeking to understand further how to help foster healing and freedom.
